January 6,
2007:
The 9th Annual Pennsylvania Master's
Cup was held on Saturday, January 6, 2007. 12 members of Team Xtreme
traveled to the event to test their skills against competitors from up and down
the east coast. The small, but dominant force earned 9 Gold, 5 Silver and
4 Bronze medals. Seven of the team members crushed their divisions winning
their fights due to the 7 point gap or the 12 point ceiling ruling. Brandi
Powers easily controlled the Senior sparring division and claimed the Grand
Championship trophy for her event.
December 2, 2006:
Team Xtreme dominates divisions at the Mid Atlantic
Championships in North Carolina. Seven members of Team Xtreme made the
trip to Winston Salem for the 6th Annual Mid Atlantic Championships where the
team earned 10 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze medals. 5 out of the 6 members
sparring ended their matches by the 7 point gap rule. Congratulations Team
Xtreme!
November 19, 2006:
Team Xtreme travels to Waldorf, Maryland for some local
tournament fun. The 12 member team collected 12 Gold, 4
Silver and 4 Bronze. Congratulations to Devoria Whitaker, Ian Lamp, Manny
Lamboy and Marcus Banks who received double Gold for their performances in their
sparring and poomse competition.
November 3-5, 2006:
Allison Hall and Brandi Powers represent Team Xtreme at USAT
Senior Nationals and Junior Black Belt Festival.

October 5, 2006:
Brandi Powers receives 2006 AAU youth Leadership Award. Team Xtreme is
proud to announce that Brandi Powers has been selected as recipient of the 2006
Amateur Athletic Union Taekwondo Youth Leadership award.

September 24, 2006: The
Xtreme Training Center hosted an Olympic sparring Athlete Identification and
Development Seminar on Sunday, September 24, 2006. Herb Perez, six time U.
S. National Team Captain, three time winner of the Pan American Championship,
ran the seminar. Perez, a noted champion and leader in martial arts for many
years, has developed the High Level Training Center in partnership with the USAT.
He is one of the most successful athletes in Taekwondo and competed in his first
Olympic games at age 32.
Master Patrice Remark of Virginia, a 6th DAN black belt with over 30 years of
competition and teaching experience, will be assisting at the event. Remark,
founder of Team RST, is former Olympian and World Champion. Recognized as one of
the world’s preeminent coaches in sport Taekwondo, he has acquired an
international reputation of athletic excellence at the highest level of

Brandi Powers claims spot on AAU Junior National Team for third consecutive

August 26, 2006: Coach Lonnie
Suazo is selected as AAU Coach of the Year and, once again Team Xtreme
athletes are selected as AAU Athletes of the Year! Congratulations to Ian Lamp,
Marcus Banks, Robert Smith, Devoria Whitaker and Coach Suazo.
August 11-13, 2006: Chicago Open
International Championships:
Team Xtreme has strong showing at international
tournament. 4 members of Team Xtreme traveled to Chicago, IL., to compete
in the Chicago Open International Championships hosted by the Pan American
Taekwondo Union. The small but dominate team collected 3 Gold and 2 Bronze

July 7-9 2006: USAT Junior
Olympics: 6 members of
Team Xtreme competed in the World Class Divisions of the USAT Junior Olympics.
Congratulations to Devoria Whitaker who received Silver in poomse and Silver in
sparring and to Anna Borkowski who collected a Bronze in sparring.
July 1-5, 2006: AAU
Junior and Senior National Championships:
14 members of Team Xtreme competed
in the 2006 AAU National Championships. The team collected 4 Gold, 3 Silver and
7 Bronze medals. Brandi Powers, Allison Hall and Steven Gertz will continue
on to AAU Team Trials being held in September in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
May 20-22, 2006:
USAT Buffalo Qualifier: Once again
Team Xtreme members dominate their divisions and earn a chance to compete in the
World Class Division of the USAT Junior Olympics. 5 members of Team Xtreme
competed in this event earning 5 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze medal.
April 1-2, 2006: USAT Rochester
Qualifier: Team Xtreme members
demonstrate their superior skills on their way to the USAT Junior Olympics.
Allison Hall, Marcus Munday, Brandi Preston and Jordyn Brown collected 5
Gold, 1 Silver and 2 Bronze medals.
February 25, 2006:
Potomac Valley Championship:
15
members of Team Xtreme competed in the Potomac Valley Championship AAU
Qualifier. All of our athletes placed in top of their division, easily securing
their chance to compete in the AAU Nationals. The team collected 13 Gold, 7
Silver and 3 Bronze medals.
